Romantic Fishing Engagement

Abby & Scottie reached out to me the day before this session took place. It is not super common for couples to call me, but when we started chatting I knew this was going to be amazing.

Planning The Session

While it was short notice, this session was an adventure to plan. While their original plan was to have their session at Little Pine State Park, since the area holds a lot of memories for them, but with the park requiring a photography permit, we simply did not have time. We ended up finding two places that matched what they were looking for, where we could get some grassland adventure photos, and then head over to the creek to pop champagne and be romantic.

The Engagement Session At Rose Valley

We adventured to Rose Valley Lake, walked through the stunning landscapes, tall grass where they danced, laughed, and took each other on little adventures. We then walked down to the dock to enjoy the cool air coming off the water, and tried new dip techniques.

Now this part is always my favorite. Abby & Scottie brought along their fishing rods, so after wading a little in the water, I had them fish and catch a few fish so we could get the perfect shot with her ring.

The Engagement Session at Trout Run Park

After Rose Valley we took a short drive to Trout Run Park with access to Lycoming Creek. The creek is a clean water area, safe for swimming, boating, or wading in with champagne. Might as well give the fish a little champagne, right ;)

We waded in (me included), popped champagne and sprayed it all over the place, and danced to the sound of the soft running water. Then, of course, we hopped out, popped another bottle of champagne and finished off with another moment of fishing.
